INTERVIEW WITH ALOYSIAN FC MANAGER ABOUT TWITTER TOURNAMENTS

We interviewed Alloysian FC manager about twitter tournaments.

We interviewed Alloysian FC manager about twitter tournaments.

Hello Aloysian FC menager, i want to ask you a few questions about twitter tournaments.

What is your Club name  and how long have you been playing TopEleven.

Thank you for this opportunity.  My clubs name is ALOYSIAN FC. We started off as Racer FC back in 2017.

But in 2019 we changed ourselves and rebranded as ALOYSIAN FC in association and dedication to the school that our owner Craig was based from.

How long have you competed in Twitter tournaments?

In Twitter I have competed in their tourneys since 2019. I have been part of the competitions by the Inferno Warriors, Top Eleven Elites, the Top 11 Community and also part of the TE Premier Cup.

This season you suffered your first ever relegation from Legends League into Platinum League. What was your first thoughts when the last games were played and relegation was confirmed?

Last season was one which defied our plans. We went in refusing to admit that we were in a relegation battle and we never thought we were. So going into the last game we knew we had to win and hope other results went our way.

We got the win and then Romann whispered in my ear that we had been relegated.

From the elation of winning suddenly the whole plan came crashing down.

We have never been relegated in a Twitter tournament. We have been relegated from top 11’s competition just once and that resulted in an ownership change which allowed Me Craig to take ownership of this club.

So immediately as soon as relegation was confirmed, financial implications, outrage from the fans and most importantly being a part of history we never wanted. All of this flashed past.

Has your approach to this season been different as a result?

The process towards change began in the end of last season. We have been less active in the transfer market.

We have kept the faith in our manager and senior players by retaining that core group.

When change is at hand there is key aspect of not changing the foundation and we have kept that.

Now what has changed is the approach. We have gone back to the dedicated training seasons that were done for the lads along with the team building ones.

A lot of the change has been around showing patience and poise. We lost a lot of games because we lost concentration and didn’t hold our nerve. So a lot has been dedicated to that this season.

Where do you expect to be this time next season?

This time next season, we expect to be:

  1. Back in the legends league by virtue of winning the platinum league
  2. Head into the season as TE Premier Cup champions
  3. Be in the semis of Top 11 Community Cup
  4. Walk in as defending champion of the Friendly tourneys that we have @JasonFC11 and @LFC_T11

Anything you would like to add.

All I would end by saying is that, through this journey on the Twitter competitions I have learnt that nothing is ever permanent. We as 3 time champions have been relegated. We took our position for granted. That’s a mistake that we will never make again. See you soon LEGENDS.

Many Thanks for your time and Have a great day manager.
